Welcome to AIEMnet

The Australian Industry Engineering and Manufacturing Network Cooperative Limited (AIEMnet) is an industry based network with the majority of its members coming from the Wide Bay Burnett, Cooloola, Sunshine Coast, Central and South East regions of Queensland. It is focused on securing additional work for the region and its members and to build economic growth and employment outcomes. This is made possible by maximizing the collective capacity of its members. AIEMnet members predominantly come from the manufacturing, engineering and electrical industries plus IT providers, consultant companies, regional councils, vehicle body building, apprenticeship service companies, retailers, recruitment providers and others who share our vision.

AIEMnet is a member based, not for profit cooperative and with increasing national and international competition, the network will provide the framework for members to win additional business for themselves and the region.

AIEMnet is also there to improve the opportunity to share new skills and expertise, gain new capabilities and achieve economies of scale in production, marketing and research. The purpose of AIEMnet is to preserve existing business and develop new opportunities in the region and to recognize the capacity and capability of the regional industry and to stop the leakage of business out of the region, plus there is a general and historic need for these regions to diversify their economic base.

AIEMnet works with industry and government stake holders that have proven themselves committed to working in partnership to address wider regional issues, these partners include local, state and Australian government departments and like minded and progressive business and industry associations and education providers. Members benefit from group capability such as the ability to jointly bid on major projects, increase networking opportunities through increased awareness of each company's skills, company development through participation on targeted programs and personal development through mentoring, sharing experiences and running industry seminars and forums. It also lobbies strongly when required to make sure regional Australian companies get full benefit of tender and other opportunities.

AIEMnet is actively involved in skilling our future workforce through a range of programs that we undertake of government and Registered Training Organizations. AIEMnet also works closely with regional high schools in making sure that students are fully aware of the opportunities available in the trades and we run a highly successful TALENT program.
